MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song in 2017. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album reached the top of the charts at number 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca, one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. Later in 2021, he performed as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are also musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about participating in music as compulsory. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. In spite of initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that taking lessons with an Cuban singer would alter his direction in life.
